- receives 300 acres on Three Fork Creek, adjoining brother John, for 100 pounds
- sold his possessions, including 300 acres of land in Virginia, and with the rest of the family except [html:][:html]Nancy[html:][:html], moved to Henry County, Indiana. It was custom at that time for the neighborsand relatives to accompany the movers for the first day and camp with them the first night. The next morning when it was time to say good bye's and all were ready to start onward to Indiana, the others to return to Virginia, [html:][:html]Nancy[html:][:html] jumped from the wagon she was in, and ran to her lover, [html:][:html]James Keener[html:][:html] who mounted on his horse, pulled her up into the saddle, and togetherthey returned home to be married. Later, they moved to Indiana and on to Kansas where they lived many years and raised ten children.
