Granville, Iowa--Bert Ballard 65, of Granville, died July 17 at his home after a brief illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. July 19 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward Hoffmann officiating. Burial in the parish cemeterywill be under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen.
The Rosary will be recited at 5, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. July at Spalding Hall.
Mr. Ballard was born April 3, 1909 in Granville and had lived in the area all of his life. He married Charlotte Graff on April 26, 1938 at Sioux city. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include the widow; six sons, Ronald of Carroll, Robert and David, both of Sioux City, Leland of Chicago, Ill., and Keith and James, both of Granville; two daughters Mrs. L. William (Joyce) Kehe of Waverly and Mrs. George(Sheila) Hentges of Wurzburg, Germany; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Andrew of Marcus and two sisters, Mrs. David (Hazel) Westhusing of Marcus and Miss Grahyce Ballard of Inglewood, Calif.
