In 1850 young Samuel Clary was living in Guersney County, Ohio, with John Perigo, his brother-in-law. (Perigo had married Matilda Clary in 1838.)
In 1860, the census listed Samuel "Clarey" as a farmer of Monroe County, Ohio; his household included Ann and the four children shown above (Martin, Cordelia, Daniel, and Sarah). Relationships are not shown in that census. The oldest child, Martin, may have been from an earlier marriage (Samuel's or Ann's), or adopted, or possibly a nephew.
The marriage of Samuel Clary and Ann Cochran is recorded in Marriage Book C, Guernsey County.
